Why ELH Fashion Loves Neon: The Power of Color in Every Detail

Neon is back! And in the best way possible. At ELH Fashion, we use neon accents to give our pieces an extra spark of expression, energy, and boldness. But these striking colors are more than just a visual highlight. Neon tells a story, enhances craftsmanship, and adds personality to every handmade piece we create.

What makes neon so special?

Neon shades appear to glow, even without a light source. This effect comes from fluorescent pigments that reflect visible light extremely intensely. That’s why neon details always stand out, whether in daylight or artificial light. For ELH this is a way to directly recognize the brand and its details.

A few fun facts:
• Neon colors were first developed around the 1930s through discoveries in fluorescent pigments.
• In the 1980s, neon became a symbol of bold fashion and unapologetic self‑expression.
• Neon remains a staple in streetwear, activewear, and festival fashion because of its high visibility and energetic look.

Why we use neon in our finishing details

ELH Fashion is built on boldness, identity, and conscious choices. Neon fits seamlessly with that vision. Our neon stitching, labels, patches, and finishing touches give each garment a sense of modernity and fearless individuality.

Neon in our craftsmanship:
• Gives every item a vibrant, statement‑making edge.
• Highlights the uniqueness of our designs.
• Draws attention to details that deserve to be seen.
• Makes each item instantly recognizable as an ELH Fashion creation.

A sustainable choice: brought to life with color

Many of our pieces start with reclaimed fabrics, leftover materials, and second‑hand garments. Neon details bring these textiles back to life, adding new energy and a fresh identity. It shows that sustainability doesn’t have to be quiet or understated, it can be daring, colorful, and creative.

Neon as a tool for self‑expression

ust like our slogan Be Bold, Be Conscious, Be You, neon encourages authenticity. It invites you to stand out, to express yourself, and to embrace your own style. Even a small neon accent, a single line of stitching, a bright tag, a pop of color, can transform an outfit and make it feel uniquely yours.

And that is why we choose neon

Our neon finishes aren’t just a trend. They are a statement. A way to keep fashion expressive, spirited, and future‑focused. Because every ELH Fashion piece should be as bold and unique as the person who wears it.

ELH Fashion X Bleached Renaissance

Bleached Renaissance and ELH Fashion have once again united their creative forces, two visionary minds, two rising brands, and two anniversaries worth celebrating. With Bleached marking its 5‑year milestone and ELH Fashion celebrating 3 years, it felt like the perfect moment to create something bold together.

Why these two brands work so well together

The synergy between Bleached Renaissance and ELH Fashion is effortless. Both brands share a passion for craftsmanship, reinvention, and pushing boundaries. Bleached brings its unmistakable fabric treatments and experimental approach to upcycling, while ELH Fashion adds its signature neon details, precise denim work, and a fearless sense of individuality. Both labels believe in creativity without limits. And that shared mindset makes collaborations feel natural, inspiring, and always innovative.

A collection built on reinvention

For this collaboration, we transformed existing pieces from Bleached, giving them a fresh purpose and new identity. We wanted something wearable yet unmistakably unique pieces that don’t just whisper for attention, but demand it. This fusion created a collection that reflects both brands equally: Bleached’s artistic fabric story blended with ELH Fashion’s vibrant neon stitching and refined denim compositions.

The result? A statement piece that needed the right canvas. That’s why we chose to create jackets, timeless, versatile, and an item everyone either owns or wants in their wardrobe. The Anniversary Collection became a true testament to reinvention, craftsmanship, and bold design.

A special moment: Snelle on TV

One of the biggest highlights of this collaboration came when Dutch artist Snelle appeared on the popular TV show Beste Zangers wearing one of the Anniversary jackets. Seeing such a celebrated artist showcase our piece on national television was an unforgettable moment not only for both brands, but also for everyone who believes in the power of independent fashion. It proved that unique, handmade, upcycled fashion can stand proudly on the biggest stages.

A celebration of creativity: The Anniversary Collection

We named this release ‘The Anniversary Collection’: a tribute to both milestones and shared growth. The challenge was clear: create something new, something unexpected. Denim is familiar, and denim jackets are iconic. But give that challenge to two fearless brands, and they’ll deliver something that breaks every expectation.

The Anniversary Collection is available exclusively on the Bleached Renaissance website.

Blauwdruk 2023 – Second Skin

Blauwdruk is an organization in Amersfoort that organizes a big exhibition each year for artist in and around Amersfoort, The Netherlands. During this exhibition there are different artist that get the chance to showcase their work. Blauwdruk also has a part were young upcoming artist get the chance to be seen with their work and also to show who they are. This part of the exhibition is called the future.

Second skin is the collection we chose to show for the exhibition in Amersfoort in 2023. This collection is a combination of the well known Denim 2.0 collection from 2020 and new items. The concept was to make people experience clothing a different way than just on models or mannequins. We got the space and we got the items, so what now? Well, the collection is streetwear and we want no limits for people so we decided to hang the collection up in the air. This way people will be able to see, touch and also walk trough the collection. By doing this we created movement in the collection because it’s an open way of showing this collection.

Clothing is a second skin, it shows who you are and it says something about you. If you are having a bad day you will probably wear dark clothing while for being happy it’s the opposite and you are more likely to wear bright colors. So that being said, that’s how we came up with the name second skin.

As said before, second skin is a combination of multiple collections. We wanted to show a combination of handwork, details and patchwork all made with denim. Denim is one of the most unsustainable fabrics in the world, this is because a lot of toxic chemicals are released during the proces of making and painting the denim. However, denim is a beautiful fabric to work with. And by giving it a second change by reusing it, youu can do so much more and it doesn’t take any chemicals during the re-using proces which is a win.
